This Summer has been a hot one here in Ottawa (not complaining, especially after the long and incredibly cold Winter we had!), but it does mean that my makeup wants to melt off as soon as I step outside. Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder* ($41 CAD) can be used as a primer, as a setting powder, or on bare skin for a more refined look. Keep reading for more details!
"Primed & Poreless Powder turns any foundation into high definition makeup. Our high-resolution, reflective, powder technology transforms skin by visually minimizing pores, fine lines and imperfections for an airbrushed looking finish. Our weightless powder can be worn alone, or under and over foundation to prep skin, lockdown makeup and control shine for a complexion smoothing, flawless finish." - Too Faced
Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder comes packaged in a plastic jar with a twist off lid. There's a handy plastic sifter, so you don't end up with too much product on your brush, or with a cloud of powder. This powder is very smooth and silky, and it blends into my skin instantly, never leaving a white cast.
My favourite way to use this product is as a setting powder. After applying foundation and concealer, I'll dust on a bit of this powder, and then a bit more after my bronzer, blush, & highlighter. This powder helps keep my face looking shine free but still fresh. My foundation lasts longer, which is such a blessing on super humid days. My only complaint is that this powder does have a tendency to cling to dry patches, but that's not much of a concern of mine during the Summer months. The loose powder formula can be a bit messy to travel with, which is why I really want to try out the pressed powder version!
If you find that you're constantly having to blot, you might want to give Too Faced Primed & Poreless Powder a try! I love how this powder keeps my foundation looking fresh for longer, without leaving my skin too matte. I'm really curious about the pressed powder formula, as I definitely need a pressed powder to bring with me on my upcoming honeymoon to Barcelona!
