Wedding Wednesday: Our Honeymoon Plans

I'm back with another Wedding Wednesday post! It's been a while since my last wedding entry, but our wedding is very quickly approaching - we're now just 9 days away!! We are leaving for our honeymoon just a few days after we say "I do", so we're very busy planning the final details of both our wedding and our honeymoon. We're travelling to Barcelona, Spain, and I couldn't be more excited about it!

Barcelona

We will be in Barcelona for 9 days, and we're looking forward to a mix of spending time relaxing on the beach, and exploring the city and soaking up the Gaudi architecture. We are staying at an Airbnb in the Eixample district in Barcelona. I love the idea of staying in an Airbnb for a longer trip like this, since we'll have a full kitchen, so we can definitely save money on food that way. While it's nice to try out different restaurants when travelling, it's also nice to have a home cooked meal now and then, something you just can't do in most hotels!

We have a few activities planned throughout our trip, including catching a FC Barcelona football (soccer) game. While I'm not much of a sports girl, Dylan really enjoys soccer, and he's super excited to cheer along with the Spanish crowd!

FC Barcelona

I'm probably most excited about Park Güell, a public park composed of beautiful gardens and stunning architecture (see below)! Be sure to be following me on Instagram since I'm sure I'll be sharing all of Barcelona's beauty in photo-form!

Park Güell

I'll definitely be telling you all about our Spanish adventures in my Travel Diaries series following our honeymoon! If you've ever been to Barcelona then I would love any recommendations that you had for us :)

Where did you go on your honeymoon?

  1. Hi! I'm from Barcelona. If you like Gaudí, you'll love Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. In the summer, you can visit them, and they also organize concerts in the roof terrace so it's a very cool way to end the visit. I went to a concert at Casa Batlló a few weeks ago and I loved it. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to help.

  3. I LOVE LOVE LOVE BARCELONA. It was my favourite place in Spain! I haven't been in almost a decade...wow... but it is definitely somewhere I want to go back to. That park is one of the very most memorable things I did on my first trip to Europe!

Something else I highly recommend is going to see some flamenco dancing :D Definitely worthwhile!

Ahhh have an AMAZING time. I really need to blog about trips because I love reading about yours haha
