Finish 6 by Winter

For the past year or so I've been really motivated to use up the products that I have, and I think I've been doing a pretty good job at it. I've been inspired by Zoe's Finish 6 by Winter post, and I decided to join in on the fun! The idea behind this challenge is to choose 6 products that you want to use up before the start of the Winter season on December 22. That means I have just under 2 months to use these products up, and I think that I have a fighting chance!

First up is Estée Lauder's Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in Desirable, which has been a go to shade of mine for over a year now. I seem to go through phases of being absolutely obsessed with this lipstick for a few weeks, and then I'll forget about it for a while, until I inevitably fall back in love with it. I only have a little bit of product left, so I should be able to use it up over the next 2 months.

Marc Jacobs Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Pink Flamingo pairs beautifully with the previously mentioned lipstick. I've started to have to really dig for product in this tube, so I'll definitely be finished with this one before Winter!

Benefit's Fake Up Concealer is a product that's been in my collection for over 2 years, so it's definitely time to use this baby up. As you can see, I only have the tiniest amount left, so it won't be long before I can move on to a new under eye concealer. That being said, I have really enjoyed this product and would highly recommend it!

Crabtree & Evelyn's English Honey & Peach Blossom All Purpose Balm is another product that I've owned for a while, and I seem to use it in spurts. I'll be obsessed with it a few weeks, and then lose it in my purse for a while, only to be found later, and the love affair starts all over again. I mainly use this multi-purpose balm as a lip balm or a cuticle cream. I love the honey scent, and I'll be sad to see this one go, but it's been in my stash for long enough!

The Body Shop's Glazed Apple Body Butter was released in last years holiday collection, and I'm wanting to use it up before I get anything from this years' holiday lineup! Now that the weather has cooled down a bit I'm really enjoying the super hydrated body butter formula again and the crisp apple scent.

And last but not least, we have the one product that I'm not sure that I'll be able to use up! Guerlain's  Universal Eyebrow Kit has been a staple in my beauty routine for about a year and a half now. I use mostly the lightest brow shade, mixed with a little bit of the medium shade. I never really use the pink eye shadow shade or the darkest brow colour, so I'm just focusing on the 2 shades that I do use. I've hit a lot of pan on the lightest brow colour, but there's still a lot to go!

I'm pretty confident that I'll be able to use up at least 5 of these products in the next 2 months, and I'll try my best with that brow palette! Are you participating in the Finish 6 by Winter challenge? If so, I would love hear about how you're doing so far!

  2. I'm so glad you decided to join in on this challenge! You were always so inspiring to me with your empties posts because you really do finish up makeup. I love the Estee Lauder lipstick but the shade I have is a bit darker for me so I haven't made much progress. Still, look at that gloss and lipstick already! You've definitely got this :D Can't wait to see the finale!

    1. Aw thanks Zoe! I think I use makeup up so easily because I become obsessed with a certain product (like the gloss and lipstick in this post) and use them almost exclusively until they're done!

  6. Good luck, looks like you're going to be successful since so many are already near there end. I really should do this to finish of some stuff that is just so close to being gone.
