Happy Halloween!! Today I have a fun & festive manicure to share with you! I'm really new to nail art, but my growing
Pinterest addiction has gotten me inspired to get a bit more creative with my manis. I'm going to try my best to keep creating fun manicures, and all be sure to share them all right here on the blog! Today for my Halloween manicure, I created a dripping blood effect using two polishes from OPI's Venice Collection,
Amore at the Grand Canal* &
Tiramisu for Two*.
I started with two coats of OPI's Tiramisu for Two, which is a creamy beige with great pigmentation. I waited for my beige base to fully dry, and then I used two coats of OPI's Amore at the Grand Canal, a beautiful deep red polish. I created the dripping blood design using a stencil, which was actually my first experience with nail art stencils. The stencil was a bit flimsy and ripped after just the first nail, so it took a bit of work finish off the rest of my nails. You could of course recreate this design using a nail art brush if you have a steady hand. I like this design because even if you mess up, it'll still look great!
So, what do you think about my first real attempt at nail art?! I'm definitely wanting to keep my creative juices flowing, so if you have any easy nail art suggestions, please leave them in a comment below!
Happy Halloween friends!
