Fresh Rice Sake Bath

Now that the weather is getting a bit cooler, I'm starting to crave baths more often. My latest bath obsession has been Fresh's Rice Sake Bath* ($56 CAD/6.8 oz), which actually contains 38% real sake! Keep reading to find out why this luxury bath product is worth splurging on!

Fresh Rice Sake Bath

"Inspired by the Japanese Geisha bathing ritual of perfuming baths with real peaches, this Fresh Rice Sake Bath includes an infusion of exquisite fruit and 38% real sake for an unparalleled sensorial experience. This delicately foaming, therapeutic soak increases circulation and body temperature, inducing a purifying sweat to eliminate toxins. Sake also contains enzymes that hydrate and smooth the skin's appearance. It is further enriched with pine extract, which promotes easy breathing and pure ginger to render muscles pliable and relaxed." - Sephora

I absolutely love the packaging of this product: the tall glass bottle has a nice weight to it, and feels quite luxurious. The scent of Fresh's Rice Sake Bath is fairly strong in the bottle, but it fades pretty quickly once in the bath. Simply twist off the lid, and pour a few tablespoons of this thick liquid under running bath water. You'll get a light layer of bubbles, which unfortunately didn't stick around for too long. However, this product doesn't claim to make bubbles, it's more of a luxurious soak. Simply lay back, relax, and take it all in. Fresh recommends soaking for at least 10 minutes, but I like to really pamper myself, and stay soaking for as long as possible, usually about an hour, or an episode of Grey's Anatomy.

After you're finished soaking, Fresh recommends that you rinse off under cool water, without using soap/shower gel. You want the super hydrating and skin softening properties of this Rice Sake Bath to stay on your skin, so just pat your skin dry. I found that my skin felt silky smooth, soft, hydrated, and plump. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

haha do you watch grey's in the bath? I am too scared of dropping electronics in the water, but i always take a good book with me!

    1. Hmm I think you could get at least 10 baths out of this bottle, but that's just a guess!
Haha I set up my laptop on the shelf in my bathroom, I would never risk bringing something electronic into the tub! I'm even nervous to read a book in the bath lol

Ya the price per use would be similar to a Lush bath bomb! It just seems like a lot all up front!
