Happy Mani Monday everyone! Today I'm back with another nail art attempt - remember, I'm a nail art beginner. While browsing through the nail art section of Pinterest, I got inspired to try out a cheetah print design for myself. Keep reading to see how they turned out!
The colours I used are OPI's Infinite Shine in Non-Stop White* as a base, and OPI's Suzi Shops & Island Hops* and OPI's Infinite Shine in Silver on Ice* for the cheetah spots. I used two coats of Non-Stop White for a perfectly opaque white base. I waited until my nails had dried completely, and then I started I started on the spots!
For the spots, I used a dotting tool, which you'll be able to find at a drugstore or beauty supply store. I started with the pink, OPI's Suzi Shops & Island Hops, and dotted on about 5 medium sized spots per nail, in a random design. After letting those spots dry, I used OPI's Infinite Shine in Silver on Ice to almost outline the pink spots. You don't want to fully outline the pink spots, for a more realistic look.
I was surprised by how easy this mani was! I still definitely think that I can improve on the cheetah effect, and I'll be trying it out again sometime with a different combination of polishes! Have you tried out cheetah nail art before? What colour combination do you think would look nice?
I think you did a great job with this! I love nail art and every once in awhile I try something very easy but have lately (probably all the cool halloween designs!) been extra inspired so I'll have to give it a shot again :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Zoe! I'd love to see how creative you can get! :)
