October 2015 Empties

It's empties time again! I used up some great products this month, and I also used up one product from my Finish 6 by Winter Challenge! This month I have a good mix of skincare, make up, hair care, and candles, so let's get right into it...

October 2015 Empties

I used up two candles this month - Bath & Body Works' Homemade Cookies & Tuscany Candle's Apple Pie. Both candles had a great Fall feel to them, and gave off a lot of fragrance.

Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara* - I really enjoyed this formula! It gave great length and curl to my lashes that lasted all day long.

Sephora's Mud Mask Purifying & Mattifying* - This mask became a quick favourite of mine, I loved the thick texture, just like mud!

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser* - This was a really great cleanser to use alongside the Clarisonic! This formula was really creamy and hydrating, so I think anyone with dry or sensitive skin would enjoy it.

Dior Addict Lip Maximizer in Beige Sunrise* - I finished off this gloss really quickly! The light pinky beige colour made it a great everyday option, and it paired really nicely with a lot of my pink and beige lipsticks. I didn't really notice a plumping effect from this gloss, but I still really liked it regardless.

October 2015 Empties

I finished off two Macadamia products this month, the Natural Oil Healing Oil Treatment* and
Moisturizing Rinse*. I really loved the oil, but I found that the conditioner was a bit light for my thick hair.

Kérastase's Elixir Ultime Masque* - Another great product to help revive my damaged hair! I used this mask about once a week instead of my regular conditioner, and I felt like my hair was left feeling softer, shinier, and more hydrated.

Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willowherb* - I used this serum daily morning and night before applying my moisturizer, and I loved the results! I found that my skin was left plump, soft, and hydrated.

Estée Lauder's Clear Difference Oil Control/Mattifying Hydrating Gel* - This moisturizer is amazing! I used this alongside the Origins serum, and I absolutely loved that combination!
October 2015 Empties

Garnier's Clean+ Gentle Clarifying Cleansing Gel* - I kept this cleanser in my shower, and I really liked how gentle it was - great for sensitive skin!

Avon Naturals Comforting Fig Hydrating Shower Gel* - Such a great Fall scent! Sweet purple figs, juicy plums, and warm amber made for an amazing Autumn shower gel!

The Body Shop's Wild Argan Oil Solid Oil Lips* - This lip balm smells amazing - just like the whole Wild Argan Oil collection does! The scent is slightly nutty, sweet, and delicious. This lip balm feels super luxurious, and it melts slightly with your body heat, so you can easily apply it with your finger. I absolutely love how this lip balm feels on my lips, but I do wish that it lasted a bit longer.

RoC SOLEIL PROTEXION+ Velvet Moisture SPF 30 For Face* - I really loved the creamy texture of this sunscreen, it could almost replace my morning moisturizer! This formula wasn't greasy or oily at all, and it didn't leave any sort of white cast on my face.

Too Faced Cocoa Powder Foundation in Light* - A powder foundation with a chocolate scent?! What's not to love here?!

Lush Hot Toddy Shower Gel* - The cinnamon and ginger scent of this shower gel made for a really great cold-weather shower gel!

Radical Skincare's Instant Revitalizing Mask* - I absolutely loved the bubbling effect of this mask! The mask bubbles up on your face, and then the small bubbles all burst, which creates a light tingly feeling. I loved the radiant look of my skin every time I used this mask.

Crabtree & Evelyn's English Honey & Peach Blossom All Purpose Balm* was in my Finish 6 by Winter, so I finished it up pretty quickly! This was a great lip balm and cuticle cream - I love multipurpose products!

So there you have it, the heap of products that I've used up in the past month! Have you used any of the products that I've emptied?

  2. EMPTIES ARE BACK! :) I can't believe you finished that Dior gloss already! Wow! It is such a lovely shade but yeah I am so slow at finishing makeup. I am trying really hard to remember to reapply...I haven't photographed yet but I did finish a Fresh Sugar mini for October haha so I was pretty proud of that. But definitely need to work on using up more makeup :) I also have that body shop lip balm and it's really nice although I'm focusing on two others at the moment.

    1. Thanks Zoe! I loved that gloss, I just flew through it haha! Now I'm working on a Marc Jacobs one that was in my Finish 6 by Winter post!
I have a tonnnn of lip balms in my stash, I've had to force myself to use only one at a time or else I'd never use any up lol

    2. You'll finish the MJ one in no time I bet! And so true about the lip balms... I was trying to focus on my Lush Honey Trap one cause I love it so much but before I finished it I got kinda grossed out and decided it was time to toss. Now I'm focusing on a Rosebud and a Nivea one...at this rate I'll never finish any of them!
