December 2015 Empties

It's that time of the month again - Empties time! Today I'll be going through all of my beauty trash from the past month, and letting you know what products are worth checking out, and which ones are better left alone!

December 2015 Empties

Epic Blend More Moisture Cherry Lip Balm (reviewed here) - Over the past few months I've fallen back in love with Epic Blend's Lip Balms, and this Cherry one was super hydrating!

Dior Rouge Dior Brillant in Bonheur (reviewed here) - Pale pinks like Bonheur can sometimes be tricky to pull off, but I love that this shade isn't too pale or white-based. This was a great shade that paired well with almost any nude or pink lipstick, so I went through this tube rather quickly!

Nisim Fast Conditioner
 - This was a nice everyday conditioner, but I don't think that it actually made my hair grow any faster, as the name would suggest.

Tata Harper Rejuvenating Serum (reviewed here) - I really enjoyed this serum, it brought a nice boost of radiance and moisture to my skin!

Dermalogica Antioxidant Hydramist (reviewed here) - I used this in lieu of a toner, spritzing on about 3-4 pumps onto my face after cleansing. This was a bit quicker and easier to use than traditional toners, so I quite enjoyed it!

December 2015 Empties

Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion (reviewed here) - This was a really lovely and pampering facial scrub, but it was also crazy expensive at $90 a tube. If you have the cash to splurge on a really nice skincare product, then I'd definitely recommend checking this out. However, there are similar products out there for a more affordable price.

Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream (reviewed here) - I loved that while this moisturizer was very creamy and hydrating, it wasn't oily or greasy, and it absorbed into my skin quickly. This formula provided a full day of moisture, and it's been working wonders for my combination skin.

mark. Crazy For Cranberry Body Scrub (reviewed here) - This cranberry scent mixed notes of creamy vanilla bean and fruity rose, which rounded out the traditionally sour cranberry notes. This formula suds up in the shower, and walnut shells work as a physical exfoliant to slough away dry skin. This scrub is fairly intense, so I only feel the need to use it 1-2x per week, all over my body. Loved this, and I'm wanting to check out more scents in this range!

Maple Holistics Winter Blend Haircare Set (reviewed here) - I absolutely loved this shampoo and conditioner duo! My hair was left feeling very smooth, soft, and frizz-free! Highly recommend!

Kiehl's Creme de Corps Soy Milk & Honey Whipped Body Butter (reviewed here) - This was my second or third tub of this stuff, and I'm still head over heals in love with it! This scent is intoxicating and the formula is highly hydrating - love!

December 2015 Empties

SkinCeuticals Simply Clean Pore-Refining Gel Cleanser - This was a really great gentle facial cleanser for anyone with combination or oily skin. SkinCeuticals is a great brand, I've loved everything that I've tried from them!

Crabtree & Evelyn Verbena and Lavender de Provence Bath and Shower Gel (reviewed here) - This Verbena and Lavender scent is beautiful! I'm not traditionally a huge fan of lavender, but I have to say that mixed with the verbena notes it's a really nice fragrance. This shower gel has a heavy citrus base to it, which I really like. The lemon verbena notes are quite prominent, and it mixes very nicely with the lavender notes. This would be a great shower gel to use in the mornings to really waken you up, since the scent is so invigorating. In addition to using this product as a shower gel, it can also be used as a bubble bath.

Live Clean Vanilla Peppermint Moisturizing Liquid Hand Soap (reviewed here) - This scent was super yummy, and very festive! I really like these hand soaps from Live Clean, I need to check out what other scents they make!

I used up 3 bath products from Lush this month - Cinders Bath Bomb, Yog Nog Bath Bomb, and Stardust Bath Bomb. I didn't love Cinders, but Yog Nog and Stardust were pretty great! I also used up Lush's Reindeer Rock Soap, which had a very fruity fragrance to it, with notes of lingonberry. These were all seasonal products, hopefully they'll come back next Christmas season!
