While I absolutely love glitter polishes, I don't wear them often because it is such a pain to remove them. So, if I'm going to apply a chunky glitter polish, it better be worth it. And let me tell you, OPI's Super Star Status is definitely worth the time it will take to eventually remove the glitter from your nails, because it's just so darn pretty.
OPI's Super Star Status is actually fairly thin in consistency, so I did have to use three coats to get a mostly opaque finish. I think that this glitter would also work very well layered over a metallic silver base if you didn't want to use so many coats of the glitter polish.
This polish is made up of a chunky silver glitter base scattered with small gold glitter pieces. The mix of silver and gold is quite pretty, and the two metals don't clash because the gold tones are quite mellow. The finish of this glitter polish is a bit rough and bumpy, even with a layer of top coat. This doesn't bother me at all, but I know that some people can't stand any texture on their nails.
If you couldn't already tell, I'm absolutely enamored with this glittery polish from OPI's Starlight Collection! If you're also a fan of glitter polishes, I'd highly recommend picking up this beauty - you won't regret it!
