For this challenge, I tried to choose products from my collection that I could use daily, and that already had some pan showing. My Urban Decay Naked Palette has definitely seen better days! I've completely used up Sin, Sidecar, and Half Baked, and there's a fair bit of pan showing on Virgin, Naked, and Buck. I don't really use the darker shades in this palette that much, so I'm really just focusing on the left side of the palette! I've also hit pan on NYC's Sunny Bronzer, Urban Decay's Naked Skin Ultra Definition Powder Foundation in Fair, and NARS' Deep Throat Blush. I haven't used up a blush in years, so I'm really excited to even see pan!
My concealer pick for this year is IT Cosmetics' Bye Bye Undereye, which I've recently rediscovered. This is a super high coverage concealer that's wonderful for faking a bright, wide awake look! My foundation pick is MUFE's Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in R210. I absolutely love this formula, and I've been using it for months straight, so I can't be too far away from finishing it up, right?
Another makeup product on my "use-up" list is Lise Watier Rivages 24 HRS Glam Eyeshadow in Chic Glam, as it's a great eye shadow base that pairs well with almost any eye shadow! I'm continuing to try to use up Guerlain's Universal Eyebrow Kit, which I really, really love. I'm focusing on mostly the lighter shade, as that's what matches my brows the best. I'm really wanting to use up a perfume this year, and I've chosen My Burberry Eau de Parfum, which is about 1/3 done right now. If I stick to just one perfume, I'll definitely be able to finish this off within the year! For a skincare product, I'm wanting to finally finish off Josie Maran's Argan Balm, which I've had for about 4-5 years! I really like using this argan balm on my eczema, cuticles, and as a lip balm. I've been using this a few times a day, so hopefully I can get through this massive tub in 2016!
If you read my monthly empties posts then you'll know that I'm pretty good at using up lip products, they're kind of my obsession. I have a ton of glosses, lipsticks, balms, etc. in my collection, and I really want to make sure that I use some things up before they go bad. I've picked out a ton of lip products, and I really want to try to use up as much of them as possible. This might seem pretty overwhelming, but most of them are already half empty or pretty close to being used up. I'll just list the lip products that I've chosen, 'cause it'll take too long to do it any other way!

Ooh, you've made such a good dent in the Naked Palette! It'll be fun to delve more into the deeper, smokier shades this year! And good job with Deep Throat- I completely finished one up last year! :)

Thanks Jen! The Naked Palette has been my go-to neutrals palette for years! I'll definitely try to start using the darker colours alongside some lighter shadows from other palettes :)
DeleteOoh nice, that definitely gives me hope that I can use up my Deep Throat!
Ooh so ambitious!! Can't wait to see how you do with this challenge :)
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks! I'm really hoping that I can get through most of this stuff!
DeleteWow you've really used up the Naked palette! I actually need to sort through my collection and see what products I should use more often! xx

Ya, when I first bought it I was absolutely obsessed with it and used it every single day for at least a year!
DeleteYou definitely should pick out a few products and try to use them up! :)
I love the idea of this post! Best of luck getting through all those products! I've had my Naked palette for so long, wondering if it's still alright that I use it! (probably 5 years by now...oops)
ReplyDeleteThanks Amelia! My Naked Palette is probably about 5 years old as well, which is why I definitely want to use it up this year!
