I absolutely love testing out new foundations, and I tend to be quite picky with what formulas I bring into my everyday make up bag. My latest has been with Too Faced Born This Way Foundation* ($58 CAD), which I've already included in my December 2015 Favourites. So, the secret's out, I love this foundation, and today I'm here to tell you why!
"Born This Way is an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can’t see the makeup and you can’t see imperfections—all that’s left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were Born This Way." - Too Faced
I always appreciate it when foundations come packaged with a pump dispenser - it makes everything easier, cleaner, etc. This glass bottle has a good weight to it, and feels quite sturdy. The shade Ivory is described as being "fair with neutral to golden undertones", which is accurate. I find Ivory is a really good match for my fair Winter skin, but there are also three lighter shades available in this range!
Too Faced Born This Way Foundation has a very creamy formula, and it blends into my skin quite easily. Even though this foundation offers medium to full coverage, I still think that it looks very natural on my skin. I've never had any issues with this foundation oxidizing (turning orange) throughout the day, or looking bright white with flash photography. My skin has been pretty great lately (am I allowed to brag a bit?), so this foundation didn't really have too much to cover up. However, I do think that this formula would work well to cover up any hyper-pigmentation, breakouts, acne scarring, etc. that you may have. I get a full day of wear out of this foundation, but those with naturally oily skin might want to top it off with a finishing powder for even longer wear-time.
Overall, I have nothing bad to say about this new foundation from Too Faced! This formula provides natural looking medium to full coverage, in a pretty good range of shades. Too Faced is a cruelty free brand, which you all know that I definitely appreciate! Have you tried out Too Faced new Born This Way Foundation yet? What foundation is currently in your makeup bag?
