THEFACESHOP Ink Lipquid in BE01 Talk Beige

THEFACESHOP always has such unique and fun products, including their Ink Lipquids! Today I have the shade BE01 Talk Beige* ($25) to share with you. This product is meant to combine the properties of a gloss, lipstick, and lip stain all in one convenient tube of colour! Keep reading to see if those claims hold true...

The packaging of these Ink Lipquids is really neat - I really love that you can see the true colour of the product through the tube! The doe foot applicator hugs my lips nicely, making application a breeze. The actual formula of this product is really thin, and for some reason the product always feels fairly cold on my lips.

The shade BE01 Talk Beige is extremely sheer, and even after multiple layers I really wasn't able to see any colour on my naturally pigmented lips. However, when swatched heavily (photo below), you can see the peachy beige colour a bit better. There are 12 shades in this line, so while I can't recommend BE01 Talk Beige because it's super sheer, you might have better luck with the darker shades.

I wasn't really able to test out the staining properties of this product, as the colour didn't translate well to my lips. But, I can say that this formula is pretty moisturizing, so I could use it as a liquid lip balm in a pinch.

Overall, I definitely wouldn't recommend picking up this exact shade, but I am curious to see if other Ink Lipquid shades fair out any better. Have you tried out THEFACESHOP's Ink Lipquids? Did you have any better luck than I did?

  2. I think the darker colors are definitely more pigmented but I'm not a fan of the formulation. It's not at all waterproof so whenever I drink water the stain runs and turns all milky.

    1. Hmm ya I couldn't really even test out the staying power of this shade since it barely showed up on my lips!
