Smashbox L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palette in Malibu Berry

I love both blush and highlighters, but it can sometimes be a challenge to figure out what products best compliment each other. Well, Smashbox has taken all of the guess work out of your cheek routine, thanks to their new L.A. Lights Blush & Highlight Palettes! I've been using the Malibu Berry* ($39 CAD), and I'm absolutely in love!

"Inspired by the depth and dimension of the magic light of L.A., this palette features curated, long-wearing, richly pigmented blushes and a highlighter for a youthful-looking flush of color. It comes with a #SHAPEMATTERS lookbook insert with pro artist application tips for five different face shapes." - Sephora

I love how sleek this packaging is - a slim black plastic compact with a good sized mirror. There are three powders inside the palette - two blushes and a coordinating highlighter. The Malibu Berry palette includes a deep red/berry blush, a mid toned pink blush, and an iridescent pink highlighter.

This palette gives you the ability to custom blend your perfect blush shade, and finish things off with a beautiful highlighter. I'm no stranger to mixing blushes, so I can definitely appreciate the benefits of this palette! The powders themselves are very smooth and soft, and they're fairly long-wearing. The photo was taken at the end of the day, after a full 9 hour work day, and as you can see, my blush is still going strong!

I think that this palette will be great for travelling, as it feels quite sturdy, and I love that you don't have to think about coordinating your blush and highlight - it's already been done for you!

Have you checked out any of the new & exciting products from Smashbox's for Spring/Summer 2016? Do you prefer blush palettes or individual compacts?
