Dry shampoo is such a lifesaver, I always make sure to have a bottle on hand. I've tried out countless brands of dry shampoo, some are pretty amazing, and some just left my hair feeling chalky yet still oily. On my quest to find the next best formula, I've been trying out Drybar's Detox Dry Shampoo* ($29 CAD), which is both vegan & cruelty free.
If you haven't already explored the world of dry shampoos (what are you waiting for?!?!), they essentially extend the life of your style before you need to wash your hair again. My hair doesn't get super oily, but I absolutely hate washing and styling my hair, so I definitely depend on dry shampoo when my hair starts to get a bit oily. Drybar's Detox Dry Shampoo comes packaged in a mint bottle that you have to shake vigorously and then spray it onto your hair from about 4-6 inches away. My first impression was that this bottle spritzes on with a vigor like no other dry shampoo that I've used before! I like to use short spritzes, concentrating on my roots. This formula does leave a white colour to my hair, but you can easily brush it out. I actually prefer dry shampoos with a white tint, they just seem to work better on my hair to absorb oils. However, if you have dark hair you might not love it as much as this blonde does. This dry shampoo from Drybar helps get me through another day or two before I have to wash my hair, and it can also be used to add some volume to your roots.
Overall, I think that Drybar's Detox Dry Shampoo will be an absolute winner for blondes, but those with darker hair might not be able to completely hide or rub out the white powder. There also is a somewhat strong scent to this product that I can't quite place my finger on, which I don't mind but it won't be to everyone's taste.
Are you also a dry shampoo addict? I'd love to hear about your favourite formulas!
