I'm a liquid liner addict, and for the past year or so I've been obsessed with Kat Von D's Tattoo Liner. Lately I've been switching things up, and I've been testing tarte's Rainforest of the Sea So Fine Micro Liner* ($26 CAD). I've been really impressed so far with this collection, so I was excited to try out their new liquid liner offering!
This packaging is super cute, I love the blue and purple marbled cap! As the name suggests, this liner has a super fine tip, and I also find the tip to be a bit short in length. I really like drawing on a winged tip every day, and I do find that I have to take an extra minute to get it just right with this liner. The tip does drag a bit on my lid, so you can't just swipe on your liner super quickly. If you aren't in a rush, then this liner is great for creating a really thin, fine line.
This formula sets pretty quickly, and once it sets, the liner is there to stay. I don't have oily lids, but I still find that this liner lasts a really long time. I've been having such bad allergies lately, and even when I find myself mindlessly rubbing my eyes, this liner doesn't budge. However, at the end of the day I can easily remove this liner with some makeup remover. This black is super jet black, which I absolutely love!
So, there are pros and cons to this liner. While I love that it's so long wearing and that you can create a really thin, precise line, I do feel like this shorter tip isn't super user friendly. I've been using liquid liner ever since I started wearing makeup, and I still can't get the hang of this one. Have you tried out this new Micro Liner from tarte? If so, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it!
