It's Empties time again! I went through a fair number of products in July 2016, including two makeup products! Let's jump right into it to see what products I've used up, and whether or not I want to repurchase them...
L'Oréal Paris Nutri Gloss Luminizer Shampoo (reviewed here) - This shampoo was nice for adding a bit of shine, but it wasn't anything super special. L'Oreal isn't cruelty free, so I won't be repurchasing going forward.
Live Clean Vitamin Multi Boost Conditioner (reviewed here) - I used up the matching shampoo last month, but still had some of the conditioner left over. I really like this Multi Boost line, it's lightweight but still quite hydrating!
Origins GinZing - This eye cream was so hyped up in the beauty blog and YouTube world a few years ago that I just had to try it out! This formula offered a very slight hint of colour, so it acted as an eye cream and a brightener. Sadly, Origins does sell in China, so they aren't cruelty free.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in R210 (reviewed here) - I really, really love this foundation - it offers great natural coverage, and with 40 shades in the line there's bound to be a shade for everyone. Sadly, MUFE isn't cruelty free, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Burberry Kisses in Rose Pink (reviewed here) - This was a beautiful everyday pink shade that I kept at my desk at work and used daily for the past few months. This colour was somewhat sheer, which I actually like in lipsticks, since you can apply them on the go without a mirror. Sadly, Burberry isn't cruelty free, so I'm looking for a more ethical replacement.
Boo Bamboo Nourishing Skin-Balancing Face Wash - I really, really loved this formula! It's super gentle and enriched with organic bamboo, making it a great option for those with sensitive skin.
Well there you have it, all of the products that I've used up over the past month! If you have any cruelty free recommendations for foundations, I'd love to hear them! What products have you used up recently?
With the natural deodorants, did you find they take a little bit to set in/work for you? I just bought one from Tom's of Maine and I have to apply it more than I think I should because it's not really doing a good job for the smell. I don't know if I should wait a couple more days and see if it'll kick in or just try another one (like the one you reviewed).
ReplyDeleteIt definitely took my body a month or two to fully adjust to using natural deodorants! Your body gets so used to getting clogged up with aluminum, so it takes a while to adjust, but I definitely think that you should stick with it! If you're really not liking Tom's of Maine then it might be worth giving another natural brand a go!
