What I Ate In A Day #31 - Vegan

Hello friends! I'm back today with another What I Ate In A Day post (you can see last week's food diary here). I'm vegan, so of course everything I'm sharing is free from any sort of animal products/by-products. Of course I drink a ton of water throughout the day - I try to get in at least 8 cups every day.

Breakfast

I started off my day with a smoothie, because they're so easy to blend up quickly in the morning and drink on my way to work! This smoothie was made with orange juice, bananas, blackberries, blueberries, and chia seeds.

Lunch

I had a super quick and easy lunch of pasta shells with sauce & Daiya's Medium Cheddar Style Block shredded over top!

Snacks 

Throughout the afternoon I had an apple, a banana, and a pear, and I also snacked on some Mamba Fruit Chews, which are quite similar to Starbursts!

Dinner

For supper I tried out something different - Gardein's Fishless Filets! I've never been a fan of real fish - the strong scent always put me off, but I thought that I should still give this vegan version a try as I've loved everything else that I've tried from Gardein. I paired the "fish" with shoestring fries, and a homemade vegan tar tar sauce. I didn't find that these had an overly fishy scent or taste to them, which made me happy! However, if you're looking for a true fish substitute, then I'm not sure that this will tick all of your boxes.
