What I Ate In A Day #39 - Vegan

Happy Tuesday! I'm back today with another What I Ate In A Day post (you can see last week's food diary here). I'm vegan, so of course everything I'm sharing is free from any sort of animal products/by-products. Of course I drink a ton of water throughout the day - I try to get in at least 8 cups every day.


I started off my day with a Yoso Vanilla Yogurt with some granola on top and a bowl of Sally's Berry Colossal Crunch Cereal with soy milk.

Did you know that quite a few items on Taco Bell's menu can be easily veganized? I've just learnt about this recently, and I had to try out their Crunchwrap! I don't think that I've ever eaten at Taco Bell before, so I was excited to finally see what all the hype was about. PETA has a great article on how to order vegan at Taco Bell, but for the Crunchwrap all you need to do is sub beef for beans, and ask for no sour cream or cheese. Easy! I was pretty impressed with this, it was quite yummy and one of the healthier options that you can get in a mall food court.

I discovered Nature's Bakery Fig Bars when I was travelling through the Detroit Airport, and I've recently found them here in Ottawa at Market Organics. This Mango flavour was really good, and I've also tried the lemon and blueberry ones! I also had a nectarine mid afternoon.

For dinner I made a garden salad with balsamic dressing to start. For the main course I made a broccoli stir fry with Veggie Paradise Meatless Citrus Infused Riblets on a bed of jasmine rice.

I was doing some groceries at Rainbow Foods here in Ottawa, and they stock bakery items from Little Jo Berry's. I picked up a Strawberry Coconut Twinkie as a treat and it didn't disappoint!
