The first empties of 2017! I wasn't as regular as I would have liked to have been with my empties posts in 2016, but I'm going to try to share my empties every single month this year. This past month I've used up a good mix of skincare, makeup, and perfume, so let's jump right in!
My Burberry EDP - I've being using this perfume daily for at least the past year, and just finished up a few days ago! This perfume was quite strong, so one spritz was all I ever needed. This packaging was beautiful, however I won't repurchase as I have a ton of perfume to go through, and I also want to find cruelty free options.
Crabtree & Evelyn Pomegranate Hand Therapy - I love these hand creams, they're super creamy and hydrating without being greasy. 2017 is the year that I actually use up my hand creams instead of just hoarding them!
Kat Von D Tattoo Brow - This was the first and only Kat Von D product that I've tried and didn't like. I found the felt tip really hard to use to fill in my brows, I just couldn't get a natural effect using this product.
Smashbox Lip Enhancing Gloss in Luster - This gloss was just a sheer light pink with a ton of shimmer, so it worked well paired over virtually any lipstick. I really liked this formula, and would repurchase if I could justify adding another gloss to my collection!
Marc Jacobs Beauty Enamored Hi-Shine Lip Lacquer in Taboo - I absolutely love this gloss formula! Taboo had a fairly sheer nude formula, so it paired well with any neutral lipstick. This was also the first product I used up from my 2017 Project Pan!
Fresh Sugar Advanced Therapy - I've gone through a few tubes of this stuff! This lip balm is quite expensive, but it is really amazing at actually hydrating your lips. Sadly, Fresh isn't cruelty free, so I'm still on the hunt for a CF lip balm.
YonKa Gel Nettoyant - This gel cleanser was really gentle, and I feel like it did help to balance my combination skin. I'll definitely repurchase once I use up some other cleansers in my stash!
Caudalie Make-Up Remover Cleansing Water - This was a good basic cleansing water, but I do think that Bioderma is better, plus Bioderma is cruelty free!
Sephora Bubble Mask - This was the bottle that never ended! However, I did really enjoy this mask, it applies as a gel, and then bubbles up into a foam. The bubbles then slowly pop/dissolve away, and my skin was always left feeling rejuvenated.
Kérastase Masque Force Architecte - Kérastase was one of my favourite hair care brands, but sadly they aren't cruelty free, so after I've finished up the products in my beauty closet, I'll need to find CF replacements. This hair mask was really hydrating, and perfect for anyone with dry, damaged, or coloured hair.
THEFACESHOP Protect Me! Hand Cream in Ocelot - I loved this thick, creamy formula, and this cocoa scent was quite lovely. Plus that packaging is too cute!
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Spot Treatment Corrector - Remember when these were all the rage? I like the regular formula, but I never liked this one in the white tube.
Live Clean Repairing Eye Cream - If you're looking for a vegan, cruelty free drugstore eye cream, then you need to check this one out! Really creamy, yet light enough to use morning or night.
NARS Sex Machine Velvet Matte Lip Pencil - This lip crayon was a beautiful pinky mauve with a nice pearly finish, perfect for everyday wear. However, I didn't like that you had to carry around a jumbo sharpener when you were wearing this lippie!
Origins Calm to Your Senses Lavender and Vanilla Body Souffle - I got a gift set of 4 of these body souffles a few Christmas' ago, and I'm just getting around to using them now! This lavender and vanilla scent was quite nice, and the formula was luxuriously smooth.
Well there you have it, my first round of empties from 2017! I think that I did pretty well using up products in 2016, but this year will be even better. Who else is joining me on my project use-it-all-up?!
