April 2017 Empties

Can you believe that we're already a week into May?! It's about time that I share my April Empties. This past month I managed to use up mostly skin care, although there are a few makeup bits tossed in as well.

April 2017 Empties

The Face Shop Character Masks - These sheet masks had a pig and monkey design on them, which was honestly more horrifying than cute. I found that these sheets were just okay - they felt cool and hydrating, but I didn't notice any long lasting benefits.

Ole Henkrisen Grease Relief Facial Water - I really, really loved this toner! I used this morning and night after cleansing my skin. It's super refreshing, and I did feel like it worked at keeping my oils balanced.

Lotus Aroma Pomelo Flower Hand Soap - We kept this soap in our bathroom, and I really enjoyed using it. The light citrus scent was quite lovely, and Lotus Aroma is a great clean brand.

Josie Maran Argan Balm - I've owned this tub for years, I can't believe that I've finally managed to use it up! This argan balm is super hydrating, and it's so multi-purpose. I liked to use it as a lip balm, cuticle cream, heel balm, etc.

The Body Shop Fuji Green Tea Body Scrub - This green tea scent was quite light and refreshing, and The Body Shop's scrubs offer a light exfoliation. I found this formula gentle enough to use daily. I generally do enjoy a more intense body scrub that I can use weekly though.

April 2017 Empties

Yankee Candle Christmas Cookie - We got this during the holidays, but just finished it off this month. I love candles that are sweet, and this one made my entire apartment smell like I was baking cookies - yum!

Buxom Full On Lip Cream in White Russian - Once I rediscovered this gloss in my collection, I swiftly became obsessed with it again, and it didn't take me long to use up this small sample. White Russian is one of the most infamous glosses in the beauty community, and I definitely think that it deserves all the hype that it's gotten!

Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender Hand Therapy - While I quite liked this hand cream formula, I'm just not a big lavender fan. This floral scent was a bit too strong for me.

April 2017 Empties

Lush Chocolate Easter Egg Soap - This was a limited edition soap from Lush's Easter Collection. I liked how hydrating this soap was, but I did find that the bar got incredibly slippery and hard to hold on to in the shower (way more so than most other soaps).

Burt's Bees Vanilla Bean Moisturizing Lip Balm - I love anything vanilla scented, so it's no surprise that I really liked this lip balm! The Burt's Bees formula is hydrating, yet I don't find my lips get addicted to it like they do to some other lip balms.

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer - This primer was all the rage a few years ago, and I just found this sample in my stash. While I really like this primer, I don't think that it's worth the splurge.

Benefit Stay Flawless 15-Hour Primer - I've never used a stick style primer like this one before! This was an interesting concept, but I think that I prefer the ease of a liquid primer. I really wish that Benefit would go cruelty free, it's one of the brands that I miss most!

Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel - This is the second sample of this eye gel that I've used up. I normally prefer eye creams, but this gel was really nice and refreshing!

The Green Beaver Company Frosty Mint Natural Toothpaste - This was my first time trying a natural toothpaste, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. It's quite a different feeling brushing your teeth with this compared to just your average toothpaste. I found that this toothpaste was a bit squeeky, and my teeth didn't stay feeling clean for as long as I'm used to.

April 2017 Empties

Another month of empties down! Would you be interested in me doing an update on the Products I Want to Use Up in 2017 challenge? I've used up quite a few products already from that challenge, and I'd love to share my progress on the remaining products!
