Paul & Joe's new Daydream Believer Collection is now available, and today I have one of the three eye shadow palettes from the Summer collection to share with you! Paul & Joe's Eye Color Limited in 007 Castles in the Air* is a beautiful mosaic of neutral toned shadows, which is right up my alley!
Castles in the Air is an absolutely stunning mosaic of neutral toned shimmery shadows. While this design is beautiful to look at in the compact, I don't think that it's overly practical to actually use. I find it hard to pick up only one shade with my brush, so my final shadow look winds up looking a bit muddled. If you're a fan of crisp lines and defined creases, this might not be the palette for you.
The five shades in this palette are all formulated with finely milled shimmer. You get a light creamy beige, a soft pink, a pale gold, a metallic light brown, and a slightly deeper brown with gold flecks. After about 2 weeks of daily use, the shadows do start to blend together in the pan.
I absolutely love the packaging of this palette, and the mosaic design is just gorgeous. However, I find it really difficult to pick up the colours individually, so while the packaging is pretty, it just isn't all that practical. I really wanted to love this palette, but I don't think that it has won its' way into my everyday makeup bag.
Have you checked out Paul & Joe's Daydream Believer Collection? What are your thoughts on mosaic palettes like this one?
