I would highly recommend downloading the Happy Cow app before you travel, as it has been such a lifesaver time and time again. The app shows you where the nearest vegan or veg-friendly restaurants are located, so you'll never be stuck just ordering fries at a random restaurant again!
Organi Chiado
Address: Calçada Nova de São Francisco, n.º 2, Chiado, Lisbon
Phone: 216 065 121
I would have recommended this restaurant based on the incredibly friendly service alone, but luckily the food was also outstanding! I'm fairly certain that the menu changes daily, but if you happen to be there when the braised tofu is available, get it! The food was super fresh, flavourful, and satisfying. The owner himself came over to our table to make sure everything was okay, and he also gave us recommendations for other vegan restaurants we should check out while in Lisbon.

Vegana Burgers
Address: C.C Saldanha Residence Av. Fontes Pereira de Melo 42E Lisbon, Portugal 1050-105
Phone: +351 21 353 0018
First of all, this place was really, really hard to find. We had wifi, and we still walked around the block for about 10 minutes before finally found the entrance. So, don't stress out if you don't find it right away! This restaurant offers a few unique variations of the standard veggie burger. I ordered a peanut butter inspired burger with sweet potato curls, and I was left feeling very satisfied! However, I was a bit disappointed to see advertisements for real meat burgers inside a 100% vegan restaurant. I believe that Vegana Burgers is a sister restaurant to a non-vegan burger shop, but it was still really annoying to have signs for real meat right on the table.
Ciao Ciao Italia
Address: Doca do Bom Sucesso, Belém, Lisboa
After exploring Belém for the better part of the day, we were walking back along the waterfront, and were passing by an ice cream shop. It was a super hot day, and ice cream sounded incredible. I was shocked to see a sign on the front door announcing that vegan options were available! This vegan gelato was incredibly creamy, and I'd say it's a definite must-try if you're in the Belém area on a hot day.
Burger Factory
Address: Rua Rodrigues Faria, 103, LX Factory, Edifício G - Piso 0 - Espaço 0.5, 1300-501 Lisboa, Portugal
Phone: +351 912 988 747
If you find yourself hungry and at the LX Factory, then you might want to consider eating at Burger Factory. This isn't a vegan restaurant by any stretch of the imagination, but the staff was really knowledgeable on veganism. There was another vegetarian restaurant at the LX Factory, but when I inquired about vegan options they said they were sold out. Even their veggie burger had egg in it. So, we walked by Burger Factory, and while we thought it would be a long shot, we asked about vegan options. They have veggie burgers & hot dogs on the menu. I ordered the veggie dog, but they were out of hot dog buns. The waitress suggested they could serve it on a burger bun, and that ended up to be delicious!
Princesa do Castelo
Address: Rua do Salvador 64A, 1100-466 Lisboa, Portugal
Phone: +351 21 887 1263
This is another restaurant that seems to have a menu that changes daily. This restaurant is located near Castelo de São Jorge, which is a must see while in Lisbon. I really loved how fresh this food tasted, it wasn't oily or processed at all. The meals all seemed to be fairly simple, but the flavours were delicious.
Primo Basílico
Address: R. dos Remédios 37, 1100-441 Lisboa, Portugal
Phone: +351 21 888 5287
This is where we actually had our first meal in Lisbon, and it did not disappoint! Primo Basílico is a small pizza shop, but they actually had four vegan pizza options available when we popped in! I got a calzone, onion pizza, and pizza with a creamy white sauce. Everything was delicious, and very reasonably priced.
Tweny Pancake
Address: Av. João XXI 22C, 1000-302 Lisboa, Portugal
I found this place online when I was planning our trip, and it did not disappoint! Tweny Pancake is a 100% vegan pancake shop that offers many different flavours and toppings. I was super excited because they serve vegan hot chocolate, which can be quite hard to find. The pancakes were fluffy and the toppings were delicious.

This restaurant is situated inside of cinema, so there's lots of movie themed memorabilia around. We each ordered a veggie burger and fries, which was the only vegan option available at the time. Apparently they have a fully vegan brunch once a week, which I wish we could have checked out! While I thought the veggie burger was just okay, Dylan thoroughly enjoyed it.
Jardim Das Cerejas
Address: Calçada Sacramento 36, 1200 Lisboa, Portugal
Phone: +351 21 346 9308
If you're really hungry, you need to check out the fully vegan buffet at Jardim Das Cerejas! The food here was absolutely delicious, which led us to return three times! The buffet changes for the most part everyday, but there were some staple dishes each time we dined.
Ao 26 - Vegan Food Project
Address: Rua Vitor Cordon, 26 Lisbon, Portugal 1200-484
Phone: +351 967 989 184
This was another restaurant that we ate at multiple times, because it was that good. I would highly recommend order the vegan steak and the crème brûlée, they were both incredible. Not only was the food delicious, but the presentation was also top notch!
Gelados Fragoleto
Address: Rua da Prata 61, 1100-413 Lisboa, Portugal
Phone: +351 21 347 9472
I was really impressed with the availability of vegan gelato and ice cream in Lisbon! Gelados Fragoleto had some really delicious flavours available, like caramel, hazelnut, and mint. So, if you're wanting something different than the typical fruity sorbets that you can get almost anywhere, go to Fragoleto for really creamy and unique flavours.
If you're also vegan or just veg-curious and planning a vacation to Lisbon, then as you see you'll have plenty of options! The only area that Lisbon is lacking in would be vegan bakeries. Unfortunately we didn't find any vegan pastel de nata's until we arrived in Porto.
Have you been to Lisbon before? What has been the most vegan city that you've been to?

Nice dishes. I want to eat until the dinner. And, of course, ice cream for dessert!
